2021 Santa Barbara UNA Peace Prize

We are so excited to award Roger Durling, Executive Director Santa Barbara International Film Festival the 2021 SantaBarbara-UNA Peace Prize.

Roger Durling has put our community on the world map as a destination for important international film world premieres. We’ve noticed many of the films  in the SBIFF are on important topics in the world. They are artistically compelling, to be sure, but they are also enlightening and help people connect more to the world, to issues and struggles across it.

The Awards Ceremony is September 21st, 2021, from 5-6:30 pm. It will be held in conjunction with the United Nation’s International Day of Peace on Zoom to keep everyone safe during the Pandemic. Th keynote address will be given by Peter Yeo, President of the Better World campaign and Senior VP United Nations Foundation on the role of the United Nations in advancing world peace.
